2 Days From Marrakech to Zagora desert
2-day trip from Marrakech to Zagora is an exciting journey that offers travelers a taste of the captivating Moroccan desert landscape and a glimpse into the unique culture of the region. Here’s a brief description of what to expect on this adventure:
Day 1: Marrakech –High Atlas mountains _ Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate –Agdaz _ Draa Valley – Zagora desert
Departure early at 08:00Am from your accommodation hotel or riad in Marrakech across the High Atlas Mountains and over the famous Tizi-n-Tichka (2260m) From these mountains, the views over the valleys and the Berber villages perched on the mountain sides, sometimes barely distinguishable from the mountains themselves, are spectacular. Then we will visit one of the oldest beautiful Kasbahs in Morocco, That is called Ait BenHaddou, a Kasbah of the 11th century recognized by the Unesco.Continue reach Ouarzazate where you stop for lunch. From there you cross another smaller pass, Tizi N’Tnifift, before reaching the head of the Draa Valley at Agdez. You then reach Zagora then the dunes, where you will have a camel ride to get the beauty of the sunset also to take some pictures of Sahara. Dinner will be in the bottoms of the dunes under stars then some local animation and music playing by you camel guides, overnight in traditional nomad’s tents.
DAY 2: ZAGORA - DRAA VALLEY - OUARZAZATE - MARRAKECH
You will rise early in the morning to view the sunrise over the sand dunes. After breakfast and a shower at the desert camp, you will ride camels back to the vehicle.
Then, we will travel to “Hollywood” Ouarzazate, where we will visit Atlas Studios and Taourirte Kasbah. Then we will proceed to the High Atlas Mountains, where we will have supper. Evening, we will return to Marrakech and return you to your hotel or riad.

We spent 5 days on tour from Marrakech to the dessert. It was an amazing experience guided by Ali who was at all times aware that we were as comfortable as possible. Moreover, we would also like to highlight the day in the dessert, where all the guys in the camp were very helpful and we could learn a lot about their culture. In summary, we highly recommend the experience with them.
