4 days from Fez to Marrakech desert tour

4-day desert tour from Fes to Marrakech is a wonderful way to explore the diverse landscapes and cultures of Morocco. Here’s a sample itinerary for this type of tour:

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga.

At 8:00 AM, we will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Fes and start our tour. Ifrane, often known as the “Switzerland” of Morocco, is where you’ll stop to take in the scenery and take some priceless images. You will next proceed to the “cedar forest” in Azrou to witness the monkeys.going on to Midelt to a restaurant for lunch. Following that, we will go across the “Tizi N Talghamt” pass before arriving in Errachidia and stopping in the gorges of the Ziz valley.The journey to Erg Chebbi Dunes continues by Erfoud, which is known for its fossil and date deposits. Here, you might like to stop at a nearby workshop that makes fossil crafts.

You will next proceed to the fascinating Merzouga Dunes, which are located in Erg Chebbi. Upon arrival, spend the night and have breakfast and supper at the hotel.

Day 2: Exploring Merzouga area – Cemel Trekking- Camp.

You will begin an exploration of the area after breakfast in your riad, followed by a camel trip and an overnight stay in a desert camp. You will go visiting the Gnawa people today to witness their music and way of life. The Gnawa were originally brought here as slaves from Sudan. The lake of Merzouga, with its bird populations, is nearby. Visit the nomad wire house as well, where many Berber handicrafts are more affordable than those in the major towns. You will saddle your camel in the afternoon and be led by an expert camel guy as you explore the Merzouga sea of golden sand. Dinner served outside the tent where you’ll spend the night. (There are flush toilets in the camp).

Day 3: Merzouga Desert _Rissani Market _Erfoud Fossil’s _ Todra Gorges _Dadés Valley.

We’ll begin this day by rising early to view one of the most breathtaking sunrises you’ve ever seen in the middle of the Sahara Desert and to take in the splendour of the desert landscape. After that, we’ll ride camels back to Merzouga for a hearty meal. The weekly market in Rissani is where we’ll stop next. We’ll depart from Rissani and go to Erfoud to visit the companies that make fossilised marble.

Our next destination is Touroug, and from there we’ll head straight for the Tinjdad palm fields.We will arrive in Todra Gorges, one of the nicest locations in the High Atlas, after an hour. This region is well-known to visitors, especially climbers, because to the river that runs besides the canyon. You’ll have ample time to have lunch, take in the stunning scenery, and, of course, take a little stroll along a river.
Then, after stopping at the “Monkey legs” through Boumalne Dadés, we will travel to the Dades valley, also known as the figs valley.And then after eating dinner, we’ll spend the night at the Dades Gorges.

Day 4: Dadés Valley _ Roses Valley _Palm Groves of Skoura _High Atlas _Marrakech.

We will begin the day as usual with a necessary breakfast and take in the breathtaking views of the Dadès valley from a unique location in the mountains. The “One Thousand Kasbahs Road” is the name of the path that we will take after that as we continue. Along the way, we will see numerous kasbahs that you will find interesting.The Roses Valley and the Skoura palm grove are the next stops, and then we’ll go to Ouarzazate to take photographs of the Taourirt Kasbah, which used to be the home of the Glaoui or Marrakech pasha. If time permits, we will also visit the movie studios and the movie museum. Following that, we will travel to Kaskah, the most renowned and historic city in Morocco;

It is Ait Benhaddou’s Kasbah. You’ll likely be hungry by this point, so we’ll take our time and have a healthy lunch.
