You will learn about Rabat today. It is situated across from Sale, another twin city, near the mouth of the Bou Regreg River on the Atlantic coast. The Kasbah Oudayas will be the first stop. The intriguing site of the Hassan Tower, which dates to 1185, is the next item on the schedule. The minaret rises to a height of 44 metres, however it was formerly projected to grow to 88 metres. But an earthquake in 1755 largely destroyed it. A symbol of contemporary Morocco, the Mauseoleum of Mohammed V, is located besides the Hassan Tower.
